EBN Fence Quote Pro Review

Disclosure: EBN built and sells this app. This is our own walkthrough of how it works, not an independent review.

A fence quote app review for contractors: takeoff plus a PDF with your logo, sent from the driveway.

Picture a normal Tuesday. You walk a backyard, pace the line, count the gate openings, and tell the homeowner, “I’ll send you a number tonight.” Tonight turns into tomorrow, because the takeoff lives on a notepad and the quote lives on a laptop at home. By the time your PDF goes out, another crew has already texted one. The fix is not more software. It is finishing the count and the quote before you start the truck.

Verdict

EBN Fence Quote Pro is a fence takeoff that turns into a PDF quote with your logo, on your phone, in the same visit. It is not a scheduling or invoicing suite.

The founding rate is $79 a month. It is worth it if your bottleneck is getting quotes out fast, not running the office. If you need CRM, crews, and invoices, keep your field-service tool and use this only for the quote moment.

What the app does

It is a phone-first web app (PWA). You add it to your Home Screen, and after the first load it works offline, which helps on lots with weak signal. There is no account to create. Your jobs and your logo stay on that phone unless you export a backup file.

You enter a fence run with length, height, post spacing, 2 or 3 rails, picket width and gap, post-hole size, waste percent, and gates. The app returns posts, rails, pickets, and concrete bags for each post hole. Posts always round up and include both end posts, so a 100 ft straight run at 8 ft spacing is 14 posts, not 12. The chart behind that rule is in How Many Fence Posts Do I Need?

Bag sizes follow the region you pick (US, Canada, UK, or Australia and New Zealand), and the app never reads your location. Feet and inches or metres and millimetres. There is also a gravel tab in cubic yards and tons.

What Pro adds

  • Multiple runs and gravel pads. Real lots have sides, returns, and gate wings, not one straight line.
  • Single and double drive gates. Walk gates are free; drive gates unlock with Pro.
  • Your letterhead on the quote. Company name, phone, optional email, and logo (PNG, JPEG, or WebP), plus job and client lines.
  • Quote as PDF and PNG. Print to PDF or save a PNG, then share it from the phone to Messages, WhatsApp, or Files.
  • A materials total on the quote. Type your price per picket, rail, concrete bag, or cubic yard of gravel in the takeoff, and the quote shows estimated materials and the dollar cost of waste. There is no live price catalog, so the number is only as current as the prices you enter.

The PDF lists each run with posts, rails, pickets, bags, waste, and gates under your company header. It reads like a contractor’s material sheet, not a screenshot of a calculator.

What it does not do

It does not schedule crews, track leads, send invoices, or collect payments. If you already run Jobber or a similar tool, keep it. EBN Fence Quote Pro covers the takeoff and the first quote, and you can paste the result into whatever you use next.

It does not add labor for you. The total on the PDF is materials from the prices you typed. Add your install price, and a line like “valid for 14 days,” in the message you send with the PDF. That line matters more this fall, when lumber and picket prices can move between the walk and the signature.

It is not engineering advice. It does not know your frost line, soil, wind load, or local code. Product spans can require tighter post spacing than you typed. The PDF is an estimate, not a contract.

Is $79 a month worth it?

If you quote one fence a month, the free takeoff at Fence Takeoff Master covers the math for one run, and that may be enough.

If you walk several yards a week and lose jobs to whoever answers first, the question is simple: if faster quotes win you one extra fence a month, does that job cover $79? The landing page also lists a 60-day money-back guarantee if you never send a branded quote to a real client, which takes most of the risk out of trying it.

No star widget, no invented testimonials. The honest test is whether your next quote leaves the driveway with your logo on it.

Bottom line

EBN Fence Quote Pro is a focused fence quoting app: posts, rails, pickets, bags, and gates, then a PDF with your letterhead, from your phone, offline. It is not a business suite. Keep your office tool, and use this to get the number out before the competition does.
